On Truth Social this week, Donald Trump shared an article that suggested Trump could teach the Republican Party a lesson by running as a third party candidate in 2024, which basically guarantee a Democrat wins that election. The author of the piece seems to think that Republicans deserve to be punished if they don't pick Trump in the primary, and the sharing of this article is a strong indication that Trump could burn it all down if he doesn't get his way. Donald Trump gave a pretty clear indication this week that should he not be anointed the 2024 nominee by the Republican Party, he might consider running as a third party candidate instead. And this indication, of course, came from an article that Donald Trump shared from the publication called American Greatness. You know, that, that well renowned established publication called American Greatness, uh, by author Dan Lerner Galer, where Lerner basically explained how in the early 19 hundreds, president Teddy Roosevelt, uh, did not run as an, uh, Republican, instead ran as an independent, which split the Republican vote, handed the presidency to the Democrats. And he suggested that maybe Trump should do the same thing, not because Trump would win as a third party candidate. Gaertner actually makes it clear if Trump did that, the Democrats would win, but maybe Republicans would deserve to have that loss. Maybe you would teach him a lesson, right?

Just like Teddy Roosevelt taught him a lesson in the early 19 hundreds. Well, here's the thing. Donald Trump is not what he once was, at least not within the Republican party. You know, the six years since he first was elected have changed, right? Things have changed. We, we've had Covid that he completely mishandled. We had the Capitol Riot. We have had the multiple different investigations into potentially criminal activity, allegedly committed by Donald Trump that are still ongoing. But Mr. Lerner's adamant, if the Republican Party doesn't have room for Trump, then by God it doesn't have room for him. Here's what he wrote, I have no intention of supporting a Republican party that manifestly contravenes the desire of its voters. The R N C can pretend Trump isn't loved by the base anymore, that he doesn't have packed rallies everywhere. He goes, but I'm not buying it. Talk to Republican voters anywhere outside the beltway.

And it is obvious that he is admired and even loved by those who consider themselves ordinary Americans. If the Republican Party thinks it's not big enough for Trump, it's not going to be big enough for me either, to, which I'm sure the Republican party's gonna respond, eh, who? Who cares? Who are you, by the way, Dan Lerner. I'm sure the Republican Party isn't going to miss you, but maybe you're the one that, uh, might want to step outside the beltway a little bit. I don't know where you're from, but clearly you're not from anywhere where real average middle Americans live. Because poll after poll, interview after interview focus group after focus group shows that a majority of people in this country, a majority of them, are

Tired of Trump. A majority of them want to see him arrested. And you're gonna sit there and act like Donald Trump is beloved by everybody. No, he's not. You're an idiot. Take off your partisan blinders for a minute and look at the reality of this. There are Republicans who are surging in the polls. Ron DeSantis is pretty much the one, but he's taking Trump's supporters with him. Maybe if you stopped acting like a cult, you might be able to see the reality all around you, which is of course, that voters have rejected Trump. Voters are rejecting Trumpism, they're rejecting what he stands for. It happened in the last, uh, uh, midterms here.
