How can we survive if people who hate our democracy are now in charge of part of our government? And I think I actually just, uh, picked a bad question to end on because that's not a question I know how to answer, and that's very, very sad for me. That, that I, I, I can't give you a clear answer for that. But I do think what we have to do is we have to pay better attention to who is getting in office. And you know, George Brown who asked that question, obviously he's paying attention. You're listening to this podcast, obviously you pay attention. I do this every day, so obviously I'm paying attention. But what we have to do better is make sure everybody else is paying attention. We have to make sure the vetting process is better. And part of that, by the way, when we talk about these government hating Republicans who now have positions in government, part of that means holding the Democratic Party responsible for that.
See, that's the other side of it. Because these Republicans, yes, they get into office claiming, we hate the government. We're gonna destroy the government. I've attempted to destroy the government in the past. Great. How'd the Democrats frigging lose to you? We have to look at our own failures to get these people from not being elected. And if we have leadership in our party that is running a bad campaign or putting up bad candidates, we have to step in and say, you are gone too. You botched this. And yeah, by the way, I'm looking at you, Nassau County, New York Democrats, who allowed George Santos to flip a seat from Democrat to Republican by lying about everything under the sun. Y'all should have caught that, but they didn't. Now we're left with this.
