Fox News Hosts Whine About Working Class Americans Taking Sick Days

On Friday's episode of The Five on Fox News, the hosts whined about the fact that working Americans are taking sick days instead of coming into the office and coughing all over each other. Apparently the hosts at Fox would rather see sicknesses spread among the lower class so as not to interrupt their precious lives, showing the elitist mentality of the network. This past Friday on Fox News's Show, the five, the hosts started talking about how ridiculous it is that Americans, American workers take sick days with one host going as far as to suggest that Americans should never be given more than six sick days per year. Basically, the host at Fox News are telling you, we don't care if you've got a cold. We don't care if you've got cancer. You can get into that factory, you can get into that office, you can clock in, and by God, you can get the work done. No more sick days for you Peasants, say the elitist at Fox News. Here's what they said. This is from Martha McCallum who was filling in for regular host Dana Perino. She said, I'm not big on sick days. I don't think that you necessarily should have like the six sick days every year.

I'm sorry. So they don't want you to only have six. They think six is too many. So sorry. Then you had Jesse Waters chime in who said he never takes off for illness, especially because he is on tv, to which Martha MacCallum then added. We just come in and cough all over each other and push through. I mean, that's the way we work. For the record, she, she wasn't kidding around as far as we can tell. Like she's literally like, yeah, we just come in, cough, sneeze all over each other. We got snot flying out of every orifice in our heads, and we're all fine. So you too, peasants should also be fine. Get your butts back to work is what Fox News is telling you. The audience of Fox News, it's average everyday working class Americans. A lot of 'em, of course on the older side of the spectrum, so possibly a lot of retirees, and that's what they're doing.

They're pandering to these individuals who got plenty of sick days back when they were working. They had all the benefits you could imagine because through most of their working lives, we had strong union representation here in the United States. But the politicians, those people voted for, killed those unions. But they got out just in time to enjoy their golden years. And they look at these new generations of lazy slackers who call in sick all the time, and that's what Fox News is trying to tap into with that anger. But really what you're doing is showing your elitism. You're showing that you don't care. You don't even care that we just came through a pandemic, which even though the government says it's over, it's not actually over. Still have hundreds of people dying from it every single week. And you're out there telling people, go ahead, come on into work, cough and sneeze all over everybody. This is just plain nuttery at this point. Yeah, I had a manager, my first job at McDonald's. I was 15 years old, came in one day not feeling well, wanted to

Go home home, and the manager said he was the general manager of the store, the guy in charge of it. And he said, listen, would you rather go home and be sick laying in bed, or would you rather be sick making money? And at 15 years old being the idiot that I was not understanding that I was getting everybody else sick, probably getting customers sick as well, I said, well, I'd rather be making money 15 years old. I've never made money before. This is wonderful. In hindsight, obviously I realized how horrible that is and how horrible that was for that manager to tell me. But that is the mentality here. We don't care if you're sick. We don't care how you feel. We don't care if you've got a fever.
