Marjorie Taylor Greene Cites Her Own Twitter Poll As Justification For Her Impeachment Crusade

Marjorie Taylor Greene is still trying to move forward with her attempts to impeach everyone from US Attorneys to President Biden, and she claimed during a floor speech on Tuesday that a completely unreliable poll that she posted to Twitter is proof that the public wants Biden impeached. She also cited a poll from Rasmussen, which is barely more reliable than her Twitter poll. The lunatics are officially running the asylum, as Ring of Fire's Farron Cousins explains.

Yesterday, Marjorie Taylor Green, after of course spending a hundred thousand dollars on a single tube of Chapstick. She got on the house floor, not like on the house floor. She was on the house floor, recognized as the speaker where she decided to go down there and give a little speech about how important her impeachment effort is against President Biden. And just to show everybody in that body how much the public supports her impeachment push. She cited not only a Rasmussen poll, which is famously unreliable cuz they are, according to multiple different reports skewed to the right. But she also showed a very unscientific Twitter poll that she had posted on her Twitter page the night before. And according to this poll that Marjorie Taylor Green took of her own supporters, a majority of people want Biden impeached and therefore we got no choice folks.

I did a poll on Twitter and they said they want him impeached, so we have to do it now. The public is behind us on this effort, here's what she said. At 5:00 PM yesterday, I released a survey simply on my social media asking, do you support impeachment? 8,600 people responded, and that was just from 5:00 PM last night. 77% said yes, they support impeachment only 23% opposed, you only got 8,600 people to vote in your poll. Hell, I've posted Twitter polls where I get more people participating than that. Uh, Ken Klippenstein, Jordan Yule, they post Twitter polls that'll get like, you know, hundreds of thousands of votes. Like how do you only have 8,600 people voting in your Twitter poll? Also, how are you so dumb that you think this is any kind of like barometer on where the public stands on the issue of impeachment?

The Rasmussen poll, uh, said that 53% of voters in America, Republicans, independents, and Democrats support the impeachment of Joe Biden for higher crimes. And misdemeanors, Rasmussen, as I said, not exactly the most reliable pollsters out there. Uh, their polls do tend to skew to the right. An analysis of their polling data showed that compared to everybody else, they're typically the most wrong. So, you know, there's that. But also are there any other polls, Marjorie, that you could pull? You got the right wing pollsters and then you got your Twitter poll and that's all you can come up with. And here's the funny thing too. If we're gonna start basing what we do in Congress on polling data, then I can't wait until y'all pass Medicare for all this week, right? I mean, we gonna have gun

Control by Friday because majority of Democrats, republicans, independents, they all support that. We gonna have debt free college, we're gonna have student loan forgiveness. We're gonna take action to avert climate disaster because for the record, those are all things that a majority of people in this country, according to polls do want to happen. So if we're finally gonna legislate based on what the public actually wants, I look forward to all of the great and wonderful progressive things that are about to come to this country. Because when you pull people on issues and divorce it from a political party, the American public is overwhelmingly progressive and they don't even realize it. So if you want those polls, Marjorie, I'll be more than happy to send them to you. I'll be more than happy to sit here and support you as you draft that legislation.
