Mike Pence REALLY Wants People To Forget He Worked For Donald Trump

Former Vice President Mike Pence is really hoping that the public forgets who he served as Vice President under, as his campaign website only devotes TWO sentences to the fact that he worked for Donald Trump as VP. Meanwhile, his time as governor of Indiana gets a whopping two paragraphs, and all of his other "accomplishments" are addressed at length in his campaign bio. His attempt to distance himself from Trump is obvious, and it shows why he'll never make it to the finish line, as Ring of Fire's Farron Cousins explains.

Former Vice President Mike Pence is of course officially running for president now, and he really wants the public to know that he really wasn't that involved with the Trump administration at all. You know, he, uh, is attempting to distance himself from everything having to do with Donald Trump in spite of the fact that most people in this country only know who he is because he was Trump's vice president during his announcement speech this week. The video he put out, he did not mention Donald Trump one single time. And of course I get it, it's a little bit awkward. He is your rival. Now, say you don't necessarily wanna hype the guy up, but you do need to remind people that you know, you were his vice president and worked side by side with him for four straight years. Nevertheless, if you go to Mike Pence's campaign website and you read his biography, you will find two sentences that mention his time as Donald Trump's vice president.

Here are those sentences. It was Indiana's success story, vice President Pence's record of legislative and executive experience, and his strong family values that prompted President Trump to select Mike Pence as his running mate in July, 2016. They were elected by the American people on November 8th, 2016, and entered office on January 20th, 2017. And that's it. That is the only mention of Mike Pence's time as vice president, other than of course referring to him as Vice President Mike Pence throughout the biography. So apparently nothing happened during those four years that Mike Pence wants anybody to remember. Like, yes, Mike Pence was selected in July of 2016, and then they were sworn in and then they were not in office anymore and nothing at all happened in between. Please forget about all of those days. That is the message that Mike Pence is sending to the United States of America. Yeah, I was vice president, but, uh, we don't, we don't need to talk about what happened during those four years.

We definitely don't need to talk about what happened in the last two and a half months that we were in office there because, you know, wasn't exactly the best of times for the United States and for our administration. So now we know Mike Pence's weakness. We know what he's afraid to talk about. I mean, Mike, listen, you've been in politics a very long time. Uh, you're actually a very good orator. You're very good in debates, but you do know you're going to have to answer questions in every debate you go to in every town hall that you do about your time with Donald Trump. Like omitting it from your biography, omitting it from your announcement video isn't gonna make people forget that you were joined at the hip with the man who was universally hated in this country, with the exception of course of his hardcore MAGA bass, which coincidentally, Mike,

Mike actually hates you. There is no base for Mike Pence and the Republican party today. I don't know why he even jumped into the race. He's never polled above the single digits. And if he's trying to run away from his record as vice President of the United States, that gives all of his Republican rivals a very clear path on which they can attack him. He doesn't want to talk about it for very obvious reasons. So the smart thing for his Republican opponents to do would be to force him to address those horrendous four years.
