Mark Meadow's Lawyer Denies Claims That He's Getting A Plea Deal To Flip On Trump

As rumors of a looming indictment against Donald Trump continue to grow, more rumors are growing that his former chief of staff, Mark Meadows, has cut a deal with prosecutors to avoid jail time in exchange for flipping on Trump. However, in spite of these reports, Meadows' lawyers swear that there is no truth to the rumors. But a denial is likely the best route at this point in order to protect their client, as Ring of Fire's Farron Cousins explains.

So prior to Donald Trump's indictment on Thursday evening, reports began swirling that his former chief of staff, Mark Meadows, was actually working out a deal with federal prosecutors to plead guilty to a few charges, and hopefully according to him, not receive a sentence in exchange for flipping on Donald Trump. Now, that is what had been reported, but his lawyer says, that's bs. I mean, that is actually what his lawyer said. He said, it's bull. So we don't know what's real and what's not. Maybe Mark Meadows is in fact cooperating. His lawyer says he is totally not. But think about this for a minute, right? We've already seen, the mago reaction to Donald Trump being indicted, right? I mean, plenty of them on social media, I've been through the posts, have actually started calling for Civil War. So we know how angry and violent those Trump supporters are. So if Mark Meadows was in fact cooperating, it would be in his best interest for his lawyer to go out and deny those reports, possibly to save Mark Meadow's life.

Because if those MAGA freaks do think that Mark Meadows has flipped on Trump and that he's now working to get Trump arrested, then they're going to come after him, maybe just on social media, possibly also physically in real life. So that's why I don't necessarily buy into the lawyer's denial saying, oh, it's all bs. He's not cooperating. Well, if you wanna protect your client, that is exactly what you would say, and I'm not even faulting you for that if you are pulling the wool over our eyes about whether or not Mark Meadows is cooperating. But Meadows, his lawyer, also came out with another statement earlier this week that said that his client, who has by the way, spoken to the grand jury, uh, tells the truth when he is legally required to do so. So that was a bit of an ominous statement. That of course, led to the speculation that Mark Meadows is in fact cooperating with the prosecutors, which I think is why the lawyer then had to come out and say, oh, no, no, no, no, no, no, totally not happening.

The guy's not talking. Don't worry about it, don't worry about that thing. I said the other day where I said that, yeah, he tells the truth only when he is legally responsible or required to do it. So, yeah, not a big deal. Kind seems like a big deal regardless. We already have Trump indictments now, at least in the documents case, which Mark Meadows, by the way, was also a part of Mark Meadows, was the liaison between Donald Trump and the National Archives. So he was the guy relaying information back and forth from those two entities. So he is also at the heart of that document scandal. But more importantly, Mark Meadows is also at the heart of everything involving Donald Trump's attempts to overturn the 2020 election, you know, the fake elector scheme, uh, working

With states, working with the government itself to maybe seize the voting machines or, you know, suspend the law to let the government go in and take everything. Yeah, Mark Meadows was the central guy working with Donald Trump on all of that. So if anybody has information worth flipping and giving on Donald Trump, it's Mark Meadows. And if anybody other than Trump was facing possibly se uh, severe criminal charges, that would also be Mark Meadows. But Mark Meadows is not the one that the federal government wants to take down.
