4:59Now PlayingDonald Trump has already made it clear that he is going to pack federal law enforcement agencies with his loyalists, and experts - former DOJ officials, security experts, and even some Republicans - are warning that this will lead to a complete lack of accountability for Trump while he's in office and possibly beyond. The danger this poses cannot be overstated, as Trump would be given the green light to do whatever he wants without fear of consequences. Ring of Fire's Farron Cousins discusses the warnings of the experts.

Experts are starting to sound the alarms about how dangerous and devastating a second Donald Trump term in the White House could be. And of course, when Donald Trump was still president running for his second term in 2020, we were all warned back then about how dangerous a second term would be. You would basically have Donald Trump unmoored. He wouldn't have the burden of having to run for office again, so he could do whatever the hell he wants. But things got more dangerous after the 2020 election. And I think we all know why Donald Trump completely lost his grip on reality to this very day. He's still out there telling us that there's this deep state coup happening in the Department of Justice and the fbi. We know that he's made pledges to purge these organizations and various other government agencies of anyone not loyal to Donald Trump. And that specifically, of course, is why experts, which include former Department of Justice officials, former Republicans and former advisors to Donald Trump himself.
That's why they're all out there telling us that a second Trump term now would be even worse than a second Trump term back then because the rule of law they tell us would cease to exist. Basically Donald Trump, if he goes through with his purge, which if he were to win, he definitely would. I don't think that's a question at all. If he goes through with that purge, then that entire United States Department of Justice is going to be filled with people who will never say no to Donald Trump. It will be filled with people who will never investigate Donald Trump. So he would be free to do whatever the hell he wants to do without any fear of the law coming for him later. Not to mention the fact that this man holds a lot of vendettas, a lot of vendettas that he wanted to deal with during his first term, but understood it would be, you know, toxic for a reelection campaign.
But he wouldn't have to worry about that in a second term. So journalists, anybody, he deems his political enemy, those people would be targets in a second Trump administration. That is one of the bigger dangers. I mean, al that's almost a bigger danger than Donald Trump having, you know, basically taken over the rule of law and abolished it. Him being able to go after the people he perceives to be his enemies would essentially undo America. We, we would be getting rid of the Constitution. We would be getting rid of any protections from anyone being targeted by the President of the United States. That is what these people, again, some of them very close to Trump, are warning us about right now.
We need to take these warnings seriously. I know that I have said that out of all the candidates, you know, whoever runs against Biden, uh uh, uh, Donald Trump worries me the least. And that's true. He worries me the least because I do not think he is electable. And by the way, republicans also do not think he is electable. But weird things have happened. I mean, 2016, right? Weird things have happened. And if suddenly it becomes a race between Donald Trump and a different Democrat, suddenly trump's chances of winnings, uh, winning increase. So there's that, and that's not good. But Donald Trump is a dangerous individual that will abuse the power of the presidency to enact his political vendetta against every person that he views has ever done him wrong in his life.
