According to court filings released last week, special prosecutor Jack Smith has gotten his hands on dozens of Donald Trump's direct messages from Twitter. Now, as we recall, the story came out a week or so ago about how Elon Musk, who owned Twitter at the time that they were issued this warrant, did not wanna cooperate. He did not want to hand over to prosecutors access to Donald Trump's Twitter account. That's a violation of his rights. No, it's not. There's a warrant. It's legal. And it got to the point where Elon Musk was like, I need to warn Trump. And the court's like, yeah, you do that. We're gonna have some serious problems. And after paying a contempt fine of $350,000, Elon Musk finally relented and said, fine, have access to his account. And they did. And they now, according to this court filing, have 32 direct messages sent to and from Donald Trump that are a part of the prosecution.

32 messages from his Twitter dms that are going to be used against him in court. Now, we don't know what's in those messages, but we do know because they're in the filing that they are being used against him. So what does this tell us? Well, it doesn't tell us anything about the case because again, we don't know what's in them. Eventually they will tell us lots about the case. What this tells us is not that Trump's an idiot, you know, to be doing this in Twitter dms, that he knows, you know, basically at any point they could have gotten ahold of these or somebody at Twitter could have leaked them. It's not the stupidity, it's that that's how arrogant he is.

Donald Trump was so arrogant about everything he did, so cocky, so confident that he would never have to face any kind of justice. That he was essentially almost doing this out in the open. I mean, certain things he was doing out in the open because he never thought he would have to face justice. Why? Because he is never had to face justice. That's what this story's about. It's not about the 32 dms. It's about the fact that the man was so careless and reckless because he knew that, hey, what's the worst that could happen? Right? What are they gonna do? I've been doing things all these years for decades now, and okay, every now and then I gotta face, you know, a civil lawsuit or pay a fine or whatever. I always weasel my way out of it. I'll declare bankruptcy here. I'll do bankruptcy there. I'll do some clever shell games everywhere else. I'll work the PR machine and everything will go away. I've got Republicans to come and save me if I need them to. That's the level of arrogance we are dealing with with this man.

Again, it's pretty stupid typically to be, you know, talking crimes in your Twitter dms or any dms on any, any platform ever. But he wasn't doing it outta stupidity. He did it out of arrogance because he is gotten away with so much in his life. He didn't think that this situation would be any different.
