3:45Now PlayingDuring his rally in Iowa this past weekend, Donald Trump reminded the country how creepy he can be by going on and on about how attractive he thinks his own daughter, Ivanka, is. He made sure to tell the crowd that he's "not supposed to talk" about his daughter like that, but even knowing that he's apparently been warned not to do it, he still did it. Ring of Fire's Farron Cousins points out why Trump's comments are so creepy.

During the second of his two campaign rallies this past weekend in the state of Iowa, Donald Trump managed to creep out the entire crowd by talking about how attractive he thinks his daughter Ivanka really is. Now, this obviously is not the first time that Donald Trump has been a little too vocal about how hot he thinks his own daughter is. And honestly, it's probably not gonna be the last, but while talking about Ivanka in Iowa, Trump had this to say, uh, among other things, but the beauty, the style, the style, the beauty, the whole package style and beauty, and that's the whole package, apparently, according to Donald. Like, that's all you need in the package is you got your style, you got beauty. There you go. That's all that matters for women in Donald Trump's world. Now, I'm sure a lot of people are already thinking like, wait a minute, that is, uh, pretty horrible.
I mean, aside from the fact that he is obviously oversexualizing his daughter, and he knows that by the way, 'cause he actually mentioned after he started talking about her, he said, you know, uh, he's not allowed. Those are the words he used. I'm not allowed to talk about Ivanka. So clearly, I don't know if it's his wife who's told him like, quit being a creep about your daughter. Maybe it's Ivanka herself. Maybe it's the campaign handlers, but either way he knows he's sexualizing his daughter. So the sexualization aside, 'cause we all know that Donald Trump would whatever if given the chance. Um, here's the thing, do you know how demeaning it is to reduce your daughter to those two traits and say that that's all that matters. She's beautiful and I like the way she dresses.
I have a daughter, I have a young daughter, and if, if those were the only two things I ever had to say positive about my daughter, I have to imagine that that would be pretty crushing for her self-esteem. She actually happens to be a straight A student, by the way. Um, and, and I, I praise her for her abilities. I praise her for her efforts to do things, even if she fails. And I talk about how her, her goals and her ambitions and her ideas, how good they are, that's what a daughter needs to praised for. I mean, not to stick up for Ivanka, but this, this woman, you, you kind of do feel for her a little bit, right? I mean, just as a human being, you have to, this is what she grew up with. A father who, who didn't care about her business ventures, her daughter, her dad only praised her for her looks and her style, because according to him, again, that's the whole package. That's all that matters. If you're pretty, if you dress nice, that's it. Because that's all Donald Trump sees in that woman. I, I, I can't imagine what that has done to her self-image and what that has done to her self-esteem. So again, to a very small degree, your heart kind of goes out to her. 'cause she clearly has a monster of a father that only sees her as a sexual figure instead of a woman with a brain.
