Donald Trump and his presidential campaign are freaking out over the proposed trial date that Fulton County District Attorney Fani Willis has proposed. Willis announced last week in a filing that she is hoping to begin the trial in early August, and Trump's campaign spokesperson immediately lashed out claiming that Willis was engaging in "election interference," which is Trump's favorite talking point about ALL of the trials he's facing. Ring of Fire's Farron Cousins explains what happened.

Fulton County District Attorney Fannie Willis, has finally decided upon a trial date for Donald Trump in the Rico case he's facing in Georgia. And according to a motion she filed late last week, she wants to start it on August 5th, 2024, August 5th. And she says, of course, like, listen, this isn't gonna be, you know, a week long thing. This is gonna go through the 2024 presidential election. So she wants to start in early August and basically go at least, probably much longer than three months trying Donald Trump and whatever co-defendants are still left that haven't taken plea deals. Needless to say, Donald Trump didn't like this at all. So he had his spokesperson this time. Donald Trump didn't want to go out there and do the dirty work. So he had a spokesperson, Stephen Chung, who posted this or released this in a statement, radical Democrat, Fanny Willis has given, uh, has again proven that her case is purely political, designed to interfere with President Trump's reelection by demanding a trial date in the most vital time in President Trump's winning campaign.

Crooked. Joe Biden knows he can't beat President Trump in this corrupt step by fte. Willis is just further proof of that. Um, do you see Steve, can I call you Steve? I'm gonna call you Steve. Here's the problem. Here's why Fannie Willis had to kind of make this decision because there's a judge in Florida, you've probably heard of her judge, Eileen Cannon, right? She's, she's presiding over Donald Trump's documents trial. And rather than give us a firm date on when she's like, this is the drop dead date that we're gonna start my trial, that also could go for a month or two. Um, she essentially tried to take up the entire calendar starting in March. She's like, in March, I'm gonna let you know some other deadlines. We may start in May, but probably not. Maybe it's gonna be four months delayed, maybe six months, maybe before the election.

Maybe after the election. Hey, I don't know. I'm a piece of crap because of that. Fannie Willis knows, okay, well I guess I can't do March. That's obviously when Judge Chut can's doing it. Cannon's got some big stuff coming down. I can't set it for May because if I set it for May and then Cannon does not delay, then I'm kind of screwed because she did kind of reserve the date first. So I'm putting it far enough out to where if Canon does what Canon is supposed to do, we would then have time to do it. So you can and moan all you want about Fanny Willis and accuse President Biden of trying to take down his political opponent, which he's by the way, already done before. So I don't think this is really what you think it is. Trump does not have a strong chance of winning nationally. Um, I don't care what the polls say, the election results speak for themselves, but this is all happening because your guys, judge, judge Cannon, appointed by Donald Trump is trying to game the system so that he benefits. So if you wanna be mad at somebody, you go down to South Florida and you talk to Judge Cannon yourself because she is the one who put chaos into the timeline. And all Fanny Willis can do is try to work around the anarchy.
