4:18Now PlayingTo call Trump supporters a "cult" isn't just an attack on their loyalty - it is a perfect description of what is happening with the people who blindly support him. And these supporters wear that label like a badge of honor. During a recent interview, a proud Trump supporter revealed the lengths that Trump would have to go to in order to lose their support, and it is about as shocking as you could imagine. Ring of Fire's Farron Cousins explains what Trump would have to do to lose support.

Donald Trump, in spite of all of the horrible things that have been revealed about him, the horrible things he has been indicted for, and, you know, found liable for in court, which by the way includes the assault of Eugene Carroll. He was found liable for that in court earlier this year. Um, in spite of all of that, his support with his hardcore cult-like base has increased. His standing in the Republican party has increased. He is beating every other Republican candidate for president by at least 50 points. So the question becomes, obviously, what could Donald Trump do to lose the support of his diehard fans? Well, luckily, slate reporter, Ben Jacobs actually had the opportunity to ask Trump supporters this question. And one Trump supporter, a woman by the name of Ashley Long, actually explained the super heinous thing Trump could do to lose her support. And here's what she told Ben Jacobs, it would have to be a video of Trump punting a baby for him not to be my guy.
So there's the bar. As long as Donald Trump doesn't drop, kick an infant, apparently his base is like, yeah, it is a good guy. I mean, he could be kicking babies, but he is not kicking babies. So obviously we're gonna go with the guy that doesn't kick babies. That's where the bar is in American politics. Don't kick a live baby on video and we'll support you. And there, there's a lot of caveats even in that statement. Um, we, we as a nation, like, let's just pack it up, right? Let's, let's be done. I, I don't know how we come back from the bar being don't drop kick a baby, but that's where the bar is for these Trump supporters. Trump was not kidding. I mean, we all, you know, laughed about it, talked about how horrible it was when he said, you know, I could shoot somebody on Fifth Avenue and not lose a supporter.
He could, he could shoot somebody on fifth, he could shoot a Trump supporter on Fifth Avenue, and he would gain support like he'd kill one and gain like five. That's where we're at. He wasn't wrong. This man has psychologically manipulated so many people in this country. Let me read you some of the, these comments from the other folks. This is from Minnesota Trump supporter, uh, Chris Seedorf, who told Jacobs that he was willing to quote, take a bullet for Trump and express confidence that Trump would do the same for him. He'd do it too for everyone else. Seedorf said, yes, Donald Trump, famously the selfless individual willing
To die for his supporters. Y'all, he wouldn't let you in the back door of his country club if you were there to bust tables. And, and I don't, I don't get how you don't get that. Jesus Christ Trump supporter, Pam, uh, bigness told Jacobs that Trump's criminal indictments had only strengthened her admiration for him. He is truly a patriot. She said, you tell me what other man could go through, what he has gone through to keep fighting for this country. Pack it up, shut it down. America's done. That's, that's the conclusion I come to after reading those statements like this. This is, this is beyond fixable. These people are beyond fixable. If you are delusional enough to think that Donald Trump is actually out there fighting for America, then there's clearly no America left to fight for.
