4:50Now PlayingThe MAGA beast that Donald Trump created is now threatening to eat him alive if he doesn't bend the knee. Right wing pundits that have been all-in on Donald Trump since Day 1 all the way back to 2015 are now threatening to revolt against him if he picks the wrong vice presidential candidate. Specifically, the MAGA crowd is warning that picking Nikki Haley or Vivek Ramaswamy would be an unforgivable sin. Ring of Fire's Farron Cousins explains what's happening.

Donald Trump could be facing a MAGA revolt. Even those diehard MAGA freaks in the conservative media that have been supporting Donald Trump since 20 15, 20 16, they are now threatening that if he makes the wrong pick for his vice presidential candidate, they're just not gonna vote for 'em. They will, in their own words. Revolt. Here is what Charlie Kirk, the head of Turning point USA, who has been a staunch Trump supporter, had to say, this week, Nikki Haley must not become Trump's VP candidate, pro war, pro illegals, pro censorship, pro DC unit party. Haley would single-handedly drag down Trump enthusiasm, 10 to 15%. The base would revolt. Matt Gaetz then responded to this, reposted it and said, Charlie is spot on.
First of all, Charlie's just making up that 10 to 15% number, by the way, like he just created a number, like, uh, enthusiasm, 10 to 15% that, like, that you just, you made that up. Like you have no gauge of what that actually would do to enthusiasm. So it was a very stupid thing to say. Uh, Matt Gaetz echoing this. Also a very stupid thing to say. Nikki Haley is the most logical pick to be Donald Trump's vice presidential candidate. But what's happened is that, you know, I've, I, I've talked frequently, lemme just say it this way. I've talked frequently about Donald Trump being the Frankenstein's monster of the Republican party, right? Like, you created this beast. The beast got outta control. It's now terrorizing the city and the residents and you don't know how to stop it. Well, it turns out that Frankenstein's monster here made a monster.
So this is Frankenstein's monster's monster, and the Frankenstein's monster monster is Maga. So now Frankenstein's monster, Donald Trump is trying to appease the monster's monster, the MAGA movement, because if he can't, then the MAGA movement is gonna revolt on him. They're the gonna be the ones terrorizing the city. So Trump is now in the position that he put the Republican Party in four years ago, and it's just, I, I love the poetic justice of all of this. Trump created a thing that he can now not control, and that thing he can't control is now calling the shots. That's what's happening here For the record, uh, Charlie Kirk did suggest that maybe Vikk, Rema Swami among other people could be a potential candidate. But that was quickly shot down by Kaylee McEnany, Donald Trump's former press secretary over at Fox News. So you've got some people who say, definitely know Hailey. Others that are saying, eh, you can't do Vikk either. So who is there? What's he gonna
Do? And as I said, Nikki Haley is the logical pick. She's got a massive campaign war chest. She's got universal name recognition. Now she doesn't have baggage and she's actually quite popular with Republicans and she is seen as a less extreme version of Donald Trump. And that's what off these maga freaks. They don't want a less extreme individual who might actually be able to pull people from the middle or some undecided voters over to Trump. They want it to be an extremist. They want it to be a lunatic. So what they're gonna force Donald Trump to do, and they will be successful with it, I guarantee you, he's gonna have to pick somebody crazy that they like. But when he picks somebody crazy, there go the independence there, go the swing voters. If he had picked somebody like Nikki Haley, and he still may, it would be somebody like Haley
