4:05Now PlayingDonald Trump threw a fit on Tuesday morning over Republican Representative, and House Freedom Caucus Chair, Bob Good. Trump got on Truth Social and attacked Good as being bad, and then went on to endorse his primary opponent. Good's race has split Republicans in the House, with some endorsing his opponent while others are standing by him. But the big question is why is this hard right lawmaker even facing a challenge? The answer is even dumber than you'd expect, as Ring of Fire's Farron Cousins explains.

Folks, we've got some turmoil in the House of Representatives, which I'm sure at this point everybody knows that we have lots of turmoil in the House of Representatives. But this time it's involving a race or a race for reelection for Republican Representative Bob Good of Virginia. Now, representative Good according to Donald Trump is very bad. So Good is bad according to Donald Trump. And I've just been waiting to say that statement for a long time now, folks. But Representative Good also happens to be the chair of the House Freedom Caucus, those far right nut jobs in the House, and on Tuesday morning before going in for closing arguments in his trial, Donald Trump decided to take a moment to attack Representative Good and endorse his opponent, man by the name of John McGuire. So here's what Donald Trump put on Truth Social, he said, bad for Virginia and bad for the USA. He turned his back on our incredible movement and was constantly attacking and fighting me until recently when he gave a warm and loving endorsement. But really it was too late. The damage had been done. And then he said that McGuire was a true American hero who fought the cartels on the front line and will always put America first.
Now, Bob Good traveled to Donald Trump's Manhattan hush money trial on May 16th. You know, one of the many people in that Republican clown car showing up to show support, but so did his opponent McGuire. He also showed up the same day. So, competing people, Bob Good, of course, has been one of the most conservative members of the House of Representatives, but it's not just Donald Trump that has now turned against Bob Good because there's actually a big split in the House with Republicans not sure if we should keep Good or go with McGuire. It's weird that such a seemingly inconsequential House race has now turned into this big blowup in the House. Let me read you this. His race has divided the House GOP conference, Representative Matt Gaetz, Andy Biggs, and Chip Roy have come out in support of Good. Representative Marjorie Taylor Greene has supported his challenger. Representative Derrick Van Orden traveled to the district to support McGuire, as did Armed Services chair Mike Rogers. Trump's former chief of staff Mark Meadows, supports Good. So what a weird, crazy thing.
Like, why is this guy who is a staunch conservative, votes with the conservatives a hundred percent of the time, gets the Freedom Caucus in line, why is everybody mad at him? Well, you gotta think back to the Republican primaries because it was during the Republican primaries that Representative Good did the bad thing and Representative Good endorsed Ron DeSantis instead of Donald Trump. That's it. Like, I really wish there was more to the story than that, but that's the reason Trump hates the guy. That's it. That's the reason some of these other Republicans hate him because he picked DeSantis over Donald Trump and now he has to suffer. And granted, I got no problem with him suffering. The Freedom Caucus is nothing but trash. So if it costs him his job, wonderful, but let's not think that we're gonna get somebody better in his place. If Trump's endorsing McGuire, McGuire is obviously a much bigger piece of garbage, but this is Republican infighting. This is what they do. They can't even get along with each other. So what the hell makes anybody think these people can take their job seriously when they can't even work with the people they agree with?
