The Representative from Georgia went on a tirade against her own Republican House Speaker, Mike Johnson, this week, claiming that he was engaging in a “bait and switch” plan to get the government funded and avoid a shutdown. She then said that Johnson needed to drop his act and work with Democrats to keep the government running and avert a shutdown ahead of the election. Well folks, every day we are getting closer and closer to a government shutdown because Republicans of the House of Representatives cannot get their crap in order. And an unlikely ally has emerged for the Democrats, I should say that unlikely ally is none other than Marjorie Taylor. Green, green, the queen of government shutdowns, right? Marjorie Taylor Green for the last two years, every time, and we're now on the seventh time, I believe, every time we've come close to a government shutdown, right? Like we're weeks away, we're days away. She's like, shut it down. We shouldn't get paid. Nobody should do their jobs. This is horrible. Government sucks. Shut it down every time. So you would think, obviously logic would dictate since she's done it every other time, that Green would be totally in favor of shutting down the government on October 1st. You know, a month and a few days right before the election.

But no, for some reason, I don't know what it is, Marjorie Taylor Greene has come out against a government shutdown while at the same time blasting her own Republican House Speaker Mike Johnson. Here's what happened this week. Johnson gets on, gets on social media and he says this, he goes, I urge all of my colleagues to do what the overwhelming majority of the people of this country rightfully demand and deserve, prevent non-American citizens from voting in American elections. He, of course, is referring to the fact that he wants to attach the save act to the, uh, budget. So if we're gonna keep the government running, we also have to vote to make it easier for Republicans to kick people off the voting rules and to, you know, allegedly criminalize that which is already criminal here in the United States. It's a redundant piece of legislation that will allow Republicans more leeway to restrict access to voting, and it's a piece of crap Bill.

So he says, Republicans, you gotta do this. You gotta pass this bill. Marjorie Taylor Greene says Not so fast. So she got on social media responding to Johnson's Post and said this, this is classic bait and switch that will enrage the base only one month before the election when they find out that they have been tricked and let down again, this would force the government shut down on October 1st because Biden and Schumer both said they will shut down the government as they're that adamant against the save act. Johnson is leading a fake fight that he has no intention of actually fighting. Even with a shutdown in full fight into October, it would be too late for the save act to make a difference for this election because absentee ballots would already be being mailed and early voting already starting. Speaker Johnson needs to go to the Democrats who he has worked with the entire time to get the votes he needs to do what he is already planning to do.
