as posted by the channel

A very panicked Donald Trump issued a falsehood-ridden threat to Republicans in the Senate this week, demanding that they stop cutting deals with Democrats to confirm President Biden’s judicial nominees during the lame duck session. Republicans have actually been blocking a ton of Biden’s nominees, but there have been times when too few Republicans bothered to show up to work to block them. Ring of Fire’s Farron Cousins explains what’s happening.

A very panicked Donald Trump got on truth social ly in the morning on Wednesday, and I'm talking like the 2:00 AM hour, um. And he posted a lot on truth social during that time. But one of the things he put out there was a warning to all Republicans in the Senate that by God you'd better not cut any deals with Democrats to confirm anymore of President Biden's judicial nominees. Here's what Trump wrote to all Senate Republicans. No deal with Democrats to fast track nominations at the end of this Congress. I won the biggest mandate in 129 years. I will make my appointments of very qualified people in January when I am sworn in.

All right, let's, um, let's dissect this. This thing that he's done, the biggest mandate in 129 years is probably one of the biggest lies that Donald Trump has ever told. As we all know, Donald Trump didn't even cross the 50% mark with the popular vote. This was, I mean, this wasn't even bigger than the last election four years ago. Like Biden beat you by more than you beat Harris, so to say, 129 years. Dude, this wasn't even the biggest election of the 2020s. It certainly wasn't even one of the biggest elections of the two thousands. So not this decade, not this century, not this millennia. Like, no, you did not get a mandate. Stop pretending that you did. And if you're gonna lie about the number of years, why pick a random number like 129, right? Like, we know it's not even the biggest mandate in four years.

So he's like, uh, 129. Why, why not 130? Why not 125? Why not 200? Like, you know what I mean? If you gonna make up a number, at least, you know, I don't know, be more creative with it. But anyway, no mandate. And here's what Donald Trump is off about, because yes, there was in fact a deal in place between the Senate, Democrats and the Senate Republicans to fast track some of these nominees, but when the Republicans decided we're gonna start blocking some of them and violate the deal, you then had a lot of democratic judges, democratic appointed judges, I should say, that said, okay, if you're not gonna replace me with somebody that biden's picking, I'm just not gonna retire. So, screw you guys. I'm here for the next four years. So we've, we've reached a blockade. However, and this is pretty funny, so I gotta mention it. There was an instance early on in this lame duck session after the election took place where Biden was trying to get through these nominees. Democrats were pushing 'em and Republicans didn't want 'em to go through, however, they didn't have the numbers

To block them because Republicans in the Senate simply weren't showing up for work. And that, of course at the time, Donald Trump off. And he's like, get back to work. You gotta block these people, because yeah, people like Ted Cruz, people like JD Vance, they still have jobs in the Senate. Marco Rubio, they just weren't going to work. So the Democrats were getting all these judges confirmed, and finally they were like, oh, crap. Trump's. We gotta go back to work. And they started blocking them. But either way, Trump is not gonna fill these slots with qualified people. I mean, I, I, I think we've all seen the kinds of judges that Donald Trump picks, and I don't think anybody that has a brain has faith in any of those people, but he wants 'em by God. He feels he's entitled to 'em. But you're not entitled to those vacancies until you actually become president of the United States. And right now, that title lands with only one person, and that is President Joe Biden.
