If you're wondering why Republicans in the Senate have decided to, uh, pretty much go along with all of Donald Trump's nominees, except for a couple rogue votes here and there, uh, there's a very good reason for that. And it goes beyond just the fact that these Republicans, of course, are spineless. One of the big reasons behind this sudden just we're all gonna fall in line is due to the threat of primary challengers. And we all know Elon Musk has threatened to fund a primary challenger to any Republican that goes against Trump, but it's a lot deeper than that according to a lengthy profile piece in the New York Times. For some reason, Trump ally and founder of Turning Point USA Charlie Kirk concocted this whole idea back in December where he said that, listen, we are gonna make sure that these Republicans in the Senate understand you have no choice. You go along with Donald Trump, or we're going to find a primary challenger to get you out of office. In fact, here is what Kirk said. These lawmakers have taken advantage of Republican primary voters far too long. It's an objective fact. They're not in line with tho with what those voters want. They're sending money to Ukraine. They're not strong on immigration. So this is not a veiled threat. I see no good reason to not go after Creo or rounds the behavioral pattern and voting, uh, voting patterns of Senate Republicans would change with one successful primary.

Now you say it's an objective fact, but another person you mentioned is Joni Ernst, who of course has not been in the Senate honestly all that long. So for far too long, these people who, some of them have only been there for, you know, little over one term, have taken advantage of primary voters because these people are not who the primary voters want. Even though in pretty much all of those instances with the people he's mentioned, there's been other people on the primary ballot. So what are you talking about? Like these, these people won their primaries. So the primary voters who you say, don't want these people keep telling you, we want these people, that that doesn't make any sense, especially for you to assert that that doesn't objective fact that the voters don't want these people, when the voters are literally voting for these people, they, you see how it doesn't make sense.

But you also see how Republicans phrase things to make you think that what they're saying is correct by just simply saying something that's completely untrue, but then following it up by saying, that's a fact. These Republican people out there who listen to these idiots are like, well, it's a fact. He said it's a fact. Obviously, it's a fact. We have stupid people that are following stupid people. But in the case of Charlie Kirk, I will admit, I don't think Charlie Kirk is stupid at all. I think he plays a part, right? He is playing a role of a stupid guy. He knows how the world works. I think he's actually very intelligent. I give him full credit for that, but he sure knows how to manipulate people. And that is exactly what he's doing. That is what turning Point USA essentially does when they put on these big shows and the Republicans come out with fireworks coming out of the stage.
