If the Democratic Party is still looking for somebody to be their leader, uh, they need not look any further because according to the public, the Democratic Party has found a leader, and she has now emerged as the most popular sitting lawmaker in the United States. And that person, of course, is Democratic representative Alexandria Ocasio-Cortez. According to a new poll released on Friday from Atlas Insights, Ocasio-Cortez is the third most popular politician in the United States. Now, why did I say she's the most popular and then say she's the third popular? Well, it's very simple, really, because the two people that are more popular than her are both retired and have been out of politics for over eight years. The most popular, of course, is Barack Obama, who again is retired from politics. Michelle Obama comes in at number two, and of course, she is not running for office, does not hold any office, so she's not actually even a politician. Ocasio-Cortez comes in number three, and due to the fact that she is the only sitting politician out of the top three, the only one that's not retired, she is in fact the most popular politician in the United States active duty.
The Democrats probably need to be paying attention to things like that, right? I mean, think about it. Since Ocasio-Cortez was elected to office in 2018, what have we seen? We have seen moderate Democrats attack her. We don't like her style. We don't like how, how brash she can be Republicans. Oh my God, she has been their target ever since the moment she stepped on that stage trying to release videos of her dancing on that rooftop. Like look at her, the recent conspiracy theories. Oh, she's secretly a millionaire because she's so corrupt, corrupt. Even though you can actually check the financial disclosures and see that that whole thing is a complete and total lie, in spite of all those attacks, in spite of years of negative publicity from moderate Democrats, from Republicans, from the corporate media, in spite of all of that, she is still the most popular politician here in the United States today. And I guarantee you, had there not been that team up of the moderates, the Republicans and the media, her approval rating would be higher than that of Barack and Michelle Obama. But this is the reality. People aren't buying into that negativity anymore. Now, there is a bit of a downside to this. So let me make this abundantly clear. She only has a net positive two point approval rating, so there's only a two point gap between those who approve of her and disapprove of her. But again, that still makes her the most popular, and it's not even 50% popularity, by the way. So I do
Want to, to get that out. Just to be perfectly clear, uh, here, in fact, are the numbers, 46% view her positively, 44% view her negatively. But in spite of that tiny little gap, it's still better than any other politician. So that's pretty remarkable. She is more popular than Donald Trump. More popular than JD Vance, more popular than former Vice President Kamala Harris, and more popular than former President Joe Biden. She beats them all. She is the future. She is the leader. Whether Democrats wanna admit it or not, the public actually likes her more than any other Democrat in office, and by God, Democrats, you need to take advantage of that or maybe try to emulate that because the public likes it more than anything they see from any other sitting politician. It seems like that's a pretty teachable moment for the Democratic Party.
