Last Friday, a video emerged of Republican Senator Joni Ernst doing a town hall in her home state of Iowa, talking about bragging about really the Republican budget bill. That, of course, is going to kick 15 million people off of Medicaid. It's going to starve people by reducing snap benefits. It's a disaster of a bill that will in fact, get people killed. And when one person in the audience stood up and said, people are going to die from that bill, which is an accurate statement, Joni Ernst Callously responded, well, we're all going to die. The backlash was immediate. And for the record, in case you haven't seen that original clip and my take on it, um, I do have a segment of that up. But again, backlash was immediate. Everybody hated that statement because again, it was very callous. It shows just how disgusting she is and it shows what Republicans actually think of people as. If anybody didn't know we're all gonna die one day. The point is not that people could live forever if he didn't pass this bill. It's, we don't need to send them to an early grave just to give millionaires a tax cut. That was the point that went right over Joni ert empty, empty head. And you would think, of course, well, it can't get much worse than that, right? Nope. Joni Ernst went and made it worse because over the weekend, Joni Ernst issued a apology that showed her walking through a cemetery, mocking the very people that were outraged by her callous statement from a few days before. Um, see, I was in the process of answering a question that had been asked by an audience member when a woman who was extremely distraught screamed out from the back corner of the auditorium, people are going to die. And I made an incorrect assumption that everyone in the auditorium understood that yes, we are all going to perish from this earth. So I apologize and I'm really, really glad that I did not have to bring up the subject of the tooth fairy as well. But for those that would like to see eternal and everlasting life, I encourage you to embrace my Lord and Savior Jesus Christ.

You know, I gotta say, I really love the part where she says, if you do want eternal life, I encourage you to embrace my Lord and Savior Jesus Christ. Let me get this straight. You claim to be a follower of Jesus. You are, you're, you're cutting healthcare for the poor. I don't remember that in the Bible. In fact, I actually remember the opposite of that. Jesus healed the sick and didn't say, Hey, by the way, you owe me the copay. He, he provided it free of charge to everyone. You're literally taking food out of the mouths of hungry children, huh? Don't remember Jesus doing that in the Bible either. Like, Hey, kids, sorry, but you need to get yourself a job. Gimme back them loaves and fishes. That didn't happen. You absolute hypocrite that if God does exist, you will spend eternity burning in Hell.
