10:47Now PlayingOn the ninth day of the trial of former Minneapolis Police Officer Derek Chauvin, many were left with the thought of George Floyd's last words as they echoed through the courtroom. In his last moments, Floyd called out for his mother, showing that the bond between a mother and son is unbreakable for some. Dr. Imani Perry, Princeton University professor and author of "Breathe: A Letter to My Sons," joined "Black News Tonight" with Marc Lamont Hill. She said the trial is showing the denial of vulnerability that Black men have. As a mother to two Black teenage sons, she said it's terrifying that they may be viewed as a threat no matter how well-behaved they are. Citing George Floyd's death and Chauvin's use of force in past incidents, Perry said the system is guilty. "There's no justice at this point," she said.
