Black people are killed by the police at higher rates than other ethnic groups, according to research.
“I believe the system is broken at every level,” McNeal says. “At every level, racial bias creep in and disadvantages members of our community while advantaging members of the white community.”
McNeal says that the discrepancies in policing are the reason why federal police reform is needed.
