According to the USDA, 35 million people in the U.S. faced hunger in 2019, particularly in Black and Brown communities.
“Businesses were already paying to throw away the food,” Crowe says. Adding that, Goodr works with businesses to help redirect food to nonprofits who distribute food back into the community.
