Q'va was born and raised in Cuba and then was exiled from the country. He was the producer for the Theater Center in Havana. One of the opposition groups tasked to free Cubans is the San Isidro Movement. According to The Indian Express, it is a group composed of artists and intellectuals that is protesting the censorship of artistic works. Cuba has struggled with racism and was one of the last colonies to free their enslaved people.
