One of the artists that benefitted from poetry is Jasmine Mans, as she recently wrote a book called “Black Girl, Call Home.” She’s a native of Newark, New Jersey, which motivated her to write the book. In her book, there’s an intersection of being Black and queer.
She joins Mike Hill on “Black News Tonight” to talk about her latest book, changing the narrative relating to Black people. Her book can be found in all bookstores.
