Educators have been accused of making classroom activism a priority over knowledge and skills. The lack of support from lawmakers in some states have led numerous educators to resign from their positions. Twenty-two states have proposed limits on schools teaching critical race theory. The topic has already been banned in Tennessee, Idaho, Oklahoma, Texas and Iowa.
