America is still dealing with the horrendous aftermath of the Jan. 6 insurrection, the damage it has caused to the country and the non-stop voter suppression laws that followed.
According to a new poll from George Washington University, 47% percent of Republicans believe that a time is near when "patriotic Americans have to take the law into their own hands." In comparison, Democrats land at 9%. Also, this poll conducted Americans' faith in election systems and democratic values, and it found that close to 55% of Republicans believe in support of the potential use of force to preserve the "traditional American way of life."
