Justice correspondent Candace Kelley weighs in on the moratorium ending and who actually has the power to keep Americans from being evicted. Kelley talks about how the Supreme Court already gave their verdict in June of 2021.
The Supreme Court says that there needs to be some clear and specific congressional power carried out. Now, the Supreme Court has deferred to Congress, and Congress deferred to the CDC. The Biden administration has given their power to the Supreme Court.
By the time the Biden administration attempted to speak on the issue on Thursday, it was too late to get an extension on the moratorium.
