The gospel legend recently dropped his latest single “Thank You For It All,” and says he draws inspiration for his music from life experiences: “You go through things, you experience challenges and difficulties and all this different stuff, and you write based on your personal experiences in life.” Sapp’s OWN spotlight special "They Call Me Dad" premieres next Tuesday at 9 p.m. EST, in which he joins other celebrities in celebrating the joys of Black fatherhood. When asked what he thinks make up a good dad, Sapp says it is most important to make sure you pay attention to the needs, wants and desires of your children.
