11:46Now PlayingA deal has been reached on a short-term debt ceiling extension, a temporary agreement that will avert a debit crisis and extend federal borrowing authority into December.
DC correspondent Bofta Yimam joins Kelly Wright live on “DC Today,” calling the agreement “huge” and says it happened very quickly. It was only Wednesday afternoon when Senator Mitch McConnell proposed the “possible option” after weeks of Republicans pushing back against any bipartisan move to raise the debt ceiling. Author Jessica Stone, Howard University's Dr. Niambi Carter and Timothy Alan Simon of the African American Chamber of Commerce joins Wright to discuss what’s next for the US debt crisis.
All this and more on “DC Today.”
