6:52Now PlayingBNC’s Nayyera Haq and Kelly Wright highlight Gen. C.Q. Brown on “The World Tonight,” to discuss his experiences as one of the first and only Black leaders in the military.
Brown is part of only 2% of Black fighter pilots in the military. His path hasn’t been one that led straight to success, but it shows the importance of remaining in high spirits and having a positive attitude when you fail. The general says he feels a sense of pressure to represent not only himself but other African Americans, adding “you want to make sure that those coming behind you have the same opportunity.” Haq says it was an honor to speak with Brown, who faces the same reality many Black families face daily when sending their children outside the house.
All this and more on “The World Tonight.”
