Jury selection is set to begin Monday for the three men charged in Arbery’s death. The trial is expected to draw demonstrators who support the Arbery family. It’s taken more than a year to get here due to misconduct, investigations and COVID-19. Prosecutors say Arbery was shot to death in February 2020 after being chased down, while he was running in the suspect’s neighborhood.
Investigators originally said they didn’t have enough evidence to bring charges, but a change in prosecutors and video footage eventually led to arrests.
