11:35Now PlayingAt the age of 15, Claudette Colvin was charged with two counts of violating Montgomery, Alabama’s segregation ordinance when she refused to give up her seat on a bus to a white woman.
Colvin was convicted on both counts and a felony count of assaulting a police officer in juvenile court. Now at age 82, Colvin has filed a request with a Montgomery County court to expunge her record.
Charles Blow had an opportunity to speak with Colvin and her lawyer on “Prime” about her case and the events of that fateful day.
