However, the Democratic Party has so far failed to endorse Walton, who is a Democratic socialist supported by a vibrant grassroots movement of progressives in New York’s second largest city.
John Nichols, national correspondent for The Nation, posed a question in his article asking, “Why Won’t New York’s Top Democrats Back the Democratic Nominee for Mayor of Buffalo?”
