Laura Murphy is on a so-called crusade against another book of Morrison’s, the Pulitzer Prize-winning “Beloved.” She has been trying to get it off Fairfax County schools in Virginia and with the help of her call to arms, Glenn Youngkin was elected as the new governor of Virginia.
Dr. Chris Emdin, who is the author of the book “Ratchetdemic: Reimagining Academic Success,” joins Marc Lamont Hill on “Black News Tonight” to discuss the efforts to ban books.
