Dec 2, 202110:02Now PlayingThe Supreme Court heard oral arguments in a Mississippi abortion case that would make it nearly impossible to get an abortion after 15 weeks of pregnancy.
The case directly challenges the historic 1973 Roe v. Wade decision, which legalized abortion in the U.S. and the 1992 Planned Parenthood v. Casey ruling, which lets states regulate abortions until the point of viability at about 24 weeks.
Carol Sanger, author of “About Abortion: Terminating Pregnancy in Twenty-First-Century America,” and Monica Simpson, executive director of SisterSong Women of Color Reproductive Justice Collective, join Charles Blow on “Prime” to discuss.
All this and more on “Prime.”
