Dec 7, 20218:44Now PlayingThe parents of the accused Michigan school shooter have been charged with involuntary manslaughter, but now the question remains: Will school officials face charges?
In a strong message to school officials, Oakland County prosecutor Karen McDonald expressed her frustrations and said a lot could have been done differently. “DC Today” fill-in host Kelly Wright is joined by BNC chief legal analyst Laura McNeal to discuss the case. McNeal says in an effort to ensure “history doesn’t repeat itself,” it’s important to retrace the steps and identify everyone who played a role in allowing this to happen, including teachers who were aware of Ethan Crumbley’s violent behavior but allowed him return to school without checking his belongings. The facts, McNeal says, support charges being brought against school officials.
