7:41Now PlayingMinnesota Attorney General Keith Ellison holds a press conference reacting to the guilty verdict in the trial of former Kim Potter, who shot and killed 20-year-old Daunte Wright.
Ellison says "its a degree of accountability" for Wright's death, and he notes that accountability is not justice. "Justice is beyond the reach that we have in this life for Daunte." He also thanks the jury for their attention and service, the witnesses for their testimony and his team for their work prosecuting Potter.
In a message to police officers, Ellison says he does not want them to be discouraged, but rather have a willingness to enforce the law by living by it.
