Potter claimed she was reaching for her Taser when she shot and killed Wright. The incident happened about 13 miles from where George Floyd was killed and occurred during the trial of Derek Chauvin. A jury found her guilty of manslaughter while committing a misdemeanor and on the charge of culpable negligence.
