Officials say the earthquake struck just off the shores of Venezuela at a magnitude of about 4.8.
In Sudan, roads are barricaded following deadly anti-coup protests. Protesters set up barricades yesterday on streets in Sudan’s capital of Khartoum, and several shops and offices were shuttered as part of a two-day strike and civil disobedience campaign. Protests have been widespread in Sudan after the military takeover on Oct. 25 of last year.
