YouTube Description
as posted by the channelOn June 1, 2024 at approximately 2:01 PM, Commander Rick Anderson with the Lake Forest Police Department responded to Sunset Foods at 825 S Waukegan Road on a report of a white female who seemed likely to shoplift. He arrived on scene around 2:03 PM and someone from the store told him that the alleged shoplifter was going to be exiting the store through the south or west entrance soon. As he began to drive so that he could park further away, the individual pointed towards an individual and told Commander Anderson that she was the one who just shoplifted from the store. He drove his vehicle towards her and made contact with the suspect, who was identified as 20-year-old Hannah Dickman.
Commander Anderson asked Hannah which vehicle she had arrived in, but she told him that she had been dropped off by her boyfriend. While she admitted to stealing liquor from the store, she begged Commander Anderson to not arrest her. Officer Jeffrey Sulkin arrived on scene afterwards and advised Hannah that she was being detained, but she declined to answer questions. Officer Adam Milczarek arrived on scene around 2:09 PM and he was advised by Commander Anderson that the store wished to pursue charges against Hannah.
Around 2:22 PM, Officer Milczarek placed Hannah under arrest. Hannah was transported to the Lake Forest Police Department for further processing. At the station, Hannah was fingerprinted and photographed. Commander Anderson gave Officer Milczarek a receipt showing that the total value of the items Hannah attempted to steal was $123.10. After the paperwork was completed, Hannah was released pending her court appearance at the Lake County Courthouse on July 26, 2024. Hannah was cited for alcoholic liquor in possession under 21 (235 ILCS 5/6-20(a)) and retail theft (720 ILCS 5/16-25(a)(1)).
