37:32Now PlayingAround 8:20 PM on December 10, 2025, Patrolman Brian Mason with the Colts Neck Police Department had been working an off duty detail near a construction site on County Road 537 near School Road East. A vehicle owned by the Colts Neck Police Department was struck by a black 2024 Lexus RS3, but he was not equipped with his body worn camera. While the driver initially attempted to leave the scene, he noticed that she was impaired and he told her she was under arrest. Since she began resisting, he manually restrained her until Patrolman Brian Mason arrived on scene and placed her in handcuffs.
The driver of the Lexus was eventually identified as Dr. Rohini Singh (NPI: 1437393600), who is a practicing pediatric hematologist-oncologist. Public records also indicate that she was appointed to a position on the Colts Neck Board of Health on January 10, 2023. Based on her uncooperative nature, the officers did not attempt any field sobriety exercises.
Patrolman Mason transported Rohini to the Colts Neck Police Department. The Lexus was impounded for a mandatory 12-hour hold under John’s Law. At the station, Standard Statement for Motor Vehicle Operators was read to her, but she refused to submit breath samples. After they finished processing her, she was released to her daughter’s babysitter Brianna Fox at 9:53 PM after she signed the Potential Liability Warning form on Rohini’s behalf.
Rohini was issued the following citations:
1) Operating under the influence (39:4-50)
2) Refusal to submit to chemical test (39:4-50.4A)
3) Reckless driving (39:4-97)
4) Careless driving (39:4-97)
5) Having an open container (39:4-51B)
6) Failure to maintain lane (39:4-88)
As of March 23, 2026, this particular DWI case is still pending in court.
Court records indicate that Rohini previously been accused of failing to report an accident and leaving the scene of an accident involving property damage in Colts Neck on September 21, 2024. According to the motor vehicle accident report from that incident, this happened after she allegedly struck another vehicle with 5 children inside and fled the scene of the crash. On December 13, 2024, Rohini pleaded guilty to failure to report an accident (39:4-130) and careless driving (39:4-97) in response to those citations. Rohini was fined a total of $630 for that incident.
