14:02Now PlayingOn June 13, 1966, The U.S. Supreme Court decided in Miranda v. Arizona that anyone in police custody must be warned of their rights against self-incrimination. What became simply known as the "Miranda Warnings," sent shockwaves through the law enforcement community.
I had the opportunity to sit down with the arresting officer of Ernesto Miranda, then Detective Carroll Cooley of the Phoenix Police Department to get his story from March 1963.
In the near future, my team and I will be launching a series of videos, called Challenges, starting with Miranda v. Arizona.
