Briefly: What the U.S. Should Do About Myanmar

We know that it’s hard to stay uptodate on USIP’s latest publications, so we’ve challenged our teams to summarize their latest research in less than a minute. In February 2021, a military coup in Myanmar toppled the democratically elected civilian government, reversing a decade of progress and reform. One year later, the country is embroiled in a fullscale civil war. In this edition of “Briefly,” USIP’s Priscilla Clapp describes the Myanmar Study Group’s key recommendations for U.S. policy.
