Tim Morrison, a former White House official who served on the National Security Council, told House lawmakers on Nov. 19 that he does not know the identity of the whistleblower and said he does not intend to speculate on who it may be. Morrison said that during his testimony, which came on the third day of the public impeachment hearings, he will not speak out against his former colleagues. "I have great respect for former colleagues at the [National Security Council," he said. "I'm not here today to question their character or integrity." The impeachment inquiry has focused on a July 25 phone call in which Trump asked the president of Ukraine to investigate former vice president and 2020 presidential candidate Joe Biden and his son, Hunter.
