Rep. Madeleine Dean, D-Pa., told her fellow lawmakers that if President Donald Trump were allowed to defy House requests for information, it would undermine the separation of powers outlined in the Constitution. “We do not need permission from the president. We do not need permission from the courts. In fact, we have an obligation to do our job under this simple, smart document,” Dean said, holding up a copy of the Constitution.The House Judiciary Committee on Dec. 12 considered revisions to the articles of impeachment and voted on whether to send those articles to the full U.S. House of Representatives. Democrats on Tuesday filed two articles of impeachment against Trump -- abuse of power and obstruction of Congress.
