Racism at The University of Missouri (Mizzou) Imaginary or Real?

University of Missouri (Mizzou) Football Team has gone on strike due to racism. At least one student has also gone on a HUNGER strike! Their goal (now accomplishment) was to get president Tim Wolfe fired, or to have him resign. It at first started as a social media picture with about 30 or so players arm in arm with students, protesting campus racism. Now, it has grown to the entire team, coaches, and students, all locked arm in arm to protest racism.

The backstory here is that there were a few incidents of "racism" that happened on or near campus within the past few weeks. One incident was white men in a truck yelling racial slurs at black students, before speeding off. That incident in conjunction with another incident –along with the current climate in the country– sparked an on-campus demonstration against racism. During this demonstration, it was alleged that Tim Wolfe hit a protestor with his car. Those claims have not been substantiated, but the claim was enough to put him on the hot seat. After the on-campus protest and/or demonstration, it was alleged that someone drew a swastika in a dorm bathroom with feces.

These incidents all came to a head because members of the school, and many black players on the football team, decided that Tim Wolfe wasn't doing enough to combat racism, instead, inflaming the racism himself by allegedly hitting a person with his car at a race based demonstration on campus.

So now, what you have is the entire football team going on strike. They have a big game coming up against Brigham Young University (BYU) and millions of dollars are on the line. I recorded this video last night, Sunday, November 8 2015. I predicted that President of The University of Missouri (Mizzou) Tim Wolfe would, in fact, be fired. As of right now, November 9, 2015, he has resigned!

I don't think the school had much of a choice. Too much money on the line. Too much to lose in the way of negative public relations. Too many moving parts, and no precedent of how to handle such a situation as the football team striking.

Personally, I think they should not have acquiesced to the demands of these so called "protestors." What's going to happen now is that, these people will think they can do whatever they want. They will ramp up their demands and resort to the same measures they've resorted to recently when they don't get their way. Already, there are demands to get at least 10% black faculty members on staff. That's racist, isn't it? Why is the way to combat "racism" with more racism? Doesn't make any sense.

And the reality here is if these kids wanted more black staff, why don't they go to an HBCU (Historically Black College and University?) They are almost exclusively black in staff and student body. Maybe it's because Mizzou has better staff, facilities, athletic program, dorms, and overall education?

Lastly, the reality here is that these "kids" aren't kids at all. They are adults. If the college wants to be a place of higher learning and not higher indoctrination, the lesson that SHOULD have been taught here is that you cannot just cry and whine to get your way. You have to do things properly. You can't just "boycott" the team you play for and expect to continue to get the same benefits. You don't like the team then don't play and remit your scholarship.
