Canada's Liberal Party Passes Anti-Islamophobia Motion M103; Muslims Speak Out Against It (REACTION)

Justin Trudeau’s Liberal Party in Canada has passed a controversial “anti-Islamophobia” motion (M103) which was tabled by a Liberal MP by woman named Iqra Khalid. Ms. Khalid was born in Pakistan and moved in her youth to UK, then eventually to Canada permanently. The motion is not a binding law, but it does have recommendations to the Government to stop and/or reduce the prevalence of “racism” and “discrimination.” It also brings up the fact that religious persecution should not be happening. No specific religions are mentioned other than Islam, even though the motion is supposed to cover all religion. Many have asked Iqra Khalid to remove the word “Islamophobia” from her motion or to explain what it actually means rather than having the wording be so vague and easily interpreted many different ways and she has refused.

Although the motion is not legally binding and no laws were created when it was passed by the Canadian House of Commons, what it has done is create a set guidelines by which new laws can be drafted. If and/or when people get into a room to create said laws, they may interpret the word “Islamophobia” in any way that they feel. Their feelings may be swayed by people that are essentially lobbyists that want their own needs fulfilled. Maybe a radical cleric or imam will talk to individuals within government to get their vision of what anti-Islamophobia laws should be.

At that point, what you have is the West beginning to resemble the Middle East as far as laws towards Islam are concerned. This process has been called “Sharia creep.” Basically, when small things are introduced that open the door up to Islam-specific laws, more and more laws begin to be written, and before you know it you have Sharia law in the West. Canadians from Iran and Pakistan have spoken out against this because they came to Canada to escape those types of laws in their home countries. They say that laws designed to protect Muslims will eventually discriminate against Muslims due to there not being just one sect of Islam. Sunni vs Shia and vice versa. Also intersect conflict. A person may be jailed in some middle eastern countries for being critical of their own Islamic sect. That is not the system anyone, even the liberals, should logically want to have in the West.
