as posted by the channelDonald Trump hosted the 2019 College Football National Championship team Clemson Tigers after their defeat over Alabama Crimson Tide to cap off an undefeated season. Many other college/pro teams have been invited to the White House after a championship victory, not all accept the invitation. Prima donnas in the NBA are a prime example but that’s neither here nor there.
Due to the Government shutdown, much of the White House staff were furloughed, including the chefs. As a result, Trump decided to reach into his own pocket and spring for a variety of fast food to feed the football players during their visit. McDonald’s, Arby’s, Domino’s and more were spread out in the East Room atop silver platters and fancy tables. The young, gigantic football players seemed to enjoy the treat a lot, but the snooty liberals on Twitter and mainstream media saw it differently.
The general reaction from the left was one of disgust and embarrassment. Since the guys were at the White House, they needed to be eating the fanciest foods possible. And the hamburgers/fries had to be hot like they came straight out of the oven. The reality is that football players are big young men that exert a lot of energy on and off the football field. You’re not going to find too many 18 year old, 300 pound raw vegans.
Trump understands what these kids want and he also understand what Americans in general want which is why he is so beloved. Although a billionaire, he is a true man of the people. Which is why he will win again and these out of touch, snooty, aloof liberals have no chance.
