as posted by the channelSupreme Court Justice Ruth Bader Ginsburg has not been present for oral arguments at all during the first week of January after late December surgery to remove cancerous nodes from her lungs. Before her lung surgery, she also fractured some of her ribs during a fall at her office. On top of all of that, she has had cancer twice before - once in 1999 and once in 2009. Doctors have said that no cancer was found anywhere else in her body after her most recent bout with it, but at 85 years old, a person must ask… how much longer can she remain in the Supreme Court?
White House officials have quietly been making preparations for Bader Ginsburg’s departure. If she is replaced due to retirement or any other reason… it would be the third SCOTUS pick Donald Trump has which would most certainly cement the court as conservative for generations to come. She has previously announced a desire to stay in the court for the duration of Trump’s presidency, but that is looking more and more like an impossibility considering the severity of her medical condition and reality of her age.
