The core essence of their response was that Trump was invoking fear to hold the American people hostage in a sense. But just a few years ago, Chuck Schumer himself said many of the same things that Trump is saying now. Barack Obama did as well. It seems as if Chuck, Nancy, Barack, and others who are now vehemently against Trump and the border wall for morality reasons are simply playing up to current-day politics of their Democrat party.
