24:22Now PlayingA month before the first Grand Prix of the 1970 season in South Africa, many of the world's top racing drivers meet at the Swiss ski resort of Villars, to enjoy a weekend of winter sport and to discuss the prospects for motor racing in year ahead.
Wheelbase's Judith Jackson and Gordon Wilkins tag along, in the hope of getting some insider information about the 1970 Grand Prix season. They don't learn a great deal, but they do get to watch the drivers compete in a skibob race, an ice hockey match, a skidoo race and a snowball fight. They also get interviews with Bruce McLaren, John Whitmore, Jackie Oliver, Henry Taylor, Bernard Cahier, Huschke von Hanstein, Bette Hill and Ami Guichard.
Clip taken from Wheelbase, originally broadcast on BBC Two, 13 February, 1970.
